Terms of Service

Effective date: August 24, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Inwood Electricity electricity monitoring dashboard at inwood-electricity.pages.dev (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Using the Service

The Service is a personal dashboard that displays electricity usage readings extracted from PSE&G MyMeter notification emails. You may use it only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining access to the Google account you connect to the Service.

Google account access

The Service requires your authorization to access Gmail through Google's Gmail API. Access is limited to the gmail.readonly permission and is used to locate matching PSE&G notification emails. You may revoke access at any time through your Google Account permissions.

Data accuracy

The Service provides usage readings for convenience. Data may be delayed, incomplete, incorrectly parsed, or unavailable because of changes to PSE&G emails, Gmail, Google APIs, Cloudflare, network conditions, or other factors. Do not rely on the Service as an official utility bill, meter, safety system, or sole basis for financial decisions. Verify important information with PSE&G.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We do not promise that the Service will always be available, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device or browser.

Prohibited use

You may not misuse the Service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, circumvent security controls, or use it to violate any law or the rights of another person.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its original software, design, and content, is owned by the Service operator or its licensors. These Terms grant you permission to use the Service for its intended personal purpose and do not transfer ownership rights.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or savings arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when the Service or its practices change. The effective date above indicates when this version was published. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
