Inwood Electricity

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Inwood Electricity ("the Service") handles information when you use the electricity monitoring dashboard at inwood-electricity.pages.dev.

Information the Service accesses

With your authorization, the Service uses the Google Gmail API with the gmail.readonly permission to find PSE&G MyMeter threshold notification emails in the connected Gmail account. The Service reads message snippets and dates to identify electricity usage readings. It does not read, send, modify, or delete your email.

How information is used

Usage information from matching PSE&G notifications is used only to display your electricity readings, summaries, charts, and alert history in the dashboard. The Service does not use Gmail data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

Storage and retention

Parsed usage readings are cached by the Service for up to six hours in Cloudflare KV so the dashboard can load efficiently. The Service does not intentionally store the full contents of your Gmail messages. OAuth credentials are stored as encrypted server-side secrets and are not displayed in the dashboard.

Sharing and third parties

The Service does not sell or rent personal information. Information is transmitted to and processed by Google to authenticate access and provide the Gmail API, and by Cloudflare to host the Service and provide its storage and infrastructure. Those providers process information under their own privacy policies and terms.

Data security

The Service uses HTTPS for network communication and server-side secret storage for OAuth credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but reasonable technical measures are used to protect the information handled by the Service.

Your choices

You can stop access at any time by removing Inwood Electricity from your Google Account's third-party app access. You may also contact us to request deletion of cached readings associated with the Service.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the Service or its data practices change. The effective date above indicates when this version was published.
